Lucky Ladd Farms

Where: Eagleville, Tennessee

When: September 21-October 29 (Closed Monday-Wednesday)

Cost: $15.99-20.99 on weekends. $13.99-18.99 on weekdays. Season passes are available. Additional cost for some activities.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, corn maze, wagon rides, petting zoo, barrel train, slides, rubber duck races, gem mining, corn box, and milking cows. Note: Some activities are only available Friday through Sunday.

Wow factor: Lucky Ladd Farms is an Ag-venture Farm Fun Park. There are educational exhibits and activities. There are also trails through the unique Cedar Glade habitat with interpretive signs and interactive educational activities. Depending on the season, Lucky Ladd offers pick-your-own gardens, U-cut flower gardens, and livestock sales.

Jumbo’s Pumpkin Patch

Where: Middletown, Maryland

When: September 23-October 29

Cost: Free on weekdays. $10 on weekend. Some activities cost an additional fee.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, mini wagon rides. Note: Some activities are only available Friday through Sunday.

Wow factor: Jumbo’s also offers a 15-acre corn maze and 6,500 square feet of shopping. Shop for baked goods, carving kits, and fall decorations—including farm-grown mums and more. There is also a craft attic featuring handcrafted items from over 45 local artisans.

Craven Farm

Where: Snohomish, Washington

When: September 27-October 29 (Closed Monday and Tuesday)

Cost: Free entry, including parking. Additional cost for activities. A la carte pricing and packages are available.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides, farm animals, face painting, toy duck races, harvest market, mini-golf, adventure maze, and obstacle course. Note: Some activities are only available on the weekends.

Wow factor: Families enjoy the hayride to Minionville and photo opportunities in storybook scenes recreated with pumpkins. Craven Farm also has an apple slinger for target practice.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

When: October 6-29

Cost: $5 on Weekdays. $10 on Friday evenings. Pricing on Saturdays and Sundays vary. Admission includes “Pumpkin bucks.” Additional costs for parking and activities.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, complementary wagons, live entertainment, straw maze, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, pumpkin decorating, giant slides, and bounce-houses. Note: Some activities are only available Friday through Sunday.

Wow factor: Tour the Pumpkin Village or the Tipi Village, both included with the cost of admission. Mr. Bones also has a “master carver” on-site in late October. For an additional fee, a professional carver creates unique designs by request and turns your pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern masterpiece.

Great Pumpkin Farm

Where: Clarence, New York

When: September 16-October 31

Cost: Free on weekdays. $12 (ages 3+) on weekends & Columbus Day. Additional cost for special activities.

What you’ll find: Pre-picked pumpkins, corn maze, petting zoo, face painting, jumping pillows, shooting range, haunted barn, pumpkin slingshots and canon, panning for gems, children’s craft area. Note: Some activities are only available on the weekends.

Wow factor: The Great Pumpkin Farm offers special events each weekend. There’s a full schedule of entertainers, from ventriloquists to jugglers to magicians. On some weekends, explorers in the corn maze will be hunted by dinosaurs or zombies. Or come for the zombie train or the pig races. Papa’s Pumpkin Patch

Where: Bismarck, North Dakota

When: September 10-October 21

Cost: $6 per person (ages 3+). Thursdays admission is $2. There’s a $6 discount for bringing your own wagon. Additional fees for some activities. Season passes are available.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay bale mazes, horse-drawn hayrides, pony rides, zip lines, pumpkin cannon, corn cob slingshot, nature trail, Log Jam, Great Pumpkin’s Chair, Corn Cribs, Papa’sville (wooden play structures), slacklines, and rope tunnel. Note: Some activities are only available on evenings and weekends.

Wow factor: Papa’s believes in paying it forward. A portion of their proceeds is donated to local charities. Non-profit organizations also send groups of volunteers to help run the pumpkin patch in exchange for a donation to their organization.

Pumpkin Patch Express

When: October 21, 22, 28, and 29

Cost: Adult pricing ranges from $19 to $33. Children (ages 1-11) $15 to $29. Note: Train ticket prices vary by class. Activities and pumpkins for children are included in the ticket price. Parking is free.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, hayrides, and face painting.

Wow factor: The Pumpkin Patch Express is a seasonal event at the Florida Railroad Museum. Visitors ride a train to the pumpkin patch where they enjoy activities for children, pick pumpkins, and then ride the train back to the station. Combining your pumpkin patch visit with a train ride is a unique way to celebrate the season.

Siegel’s Cottonwood Farms Pumpkin Fest

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides, petting zoo, pony rides, jumping pillow, rides and slides, gem mine, Ghost Town Railroad, baby chick nursery, pumpkin drop and smash, haunted barn, and many more.

Wow factor: There are over 30 different activities included with the price of admission at Pumpkin Fest. There is no additional charge for rides or even the corn maze. Families could easily spend all day at the farm enjoying activities without any additional cost.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, a hay bale maze, Pumpkin Village, and scavenger hunts.

Wow factor: General admission includes admission to the Dallas Arboretum. Visitors can explore a variety of ornamental gardens in addition to visiting the pumpkin patch. The Children’s Adventure Garden is similar to an outdoor children’s museum, with a wide range of hands-on activities.

Where: Burns, Kansas

When: September 16-October 29

Cost: $13 Wednesday through Friday. $20 Saturday and Sunday. Pay-to-play activities are offered on weekends only. Season passes are available.

What you’ll find: Pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayride, farm animals, corn bin, pedal boats, play areas, zipline, train, pumpkin cannon, gem mining, duck races, pumpkin scavenger hunt, ninja obstacle course, and sunflower field walk.

Wow factor: Walters’ Farm offers plenty of family-friendly fun during the day, but come back after dark to see their spookier side. Bring a flashlight for the corn maze, take a hayride to the haunted cannery, or even ride an ambulance to the asylum.
